Eat Less, Lose Belly Fat

Eat Less, Lose Belly Fat

Eat less, lose belly fat – is it as simple as that? Yes and no. On the one hand, it is certainly true that you certainly need to eat less food to lose belly fat. Why? Because it is impossible to lose belly fat without reducing your daily calorie intake. Can you get rid of belly fat without reducing your daily calorie intake? Some experts claim that exercise is more effective than reducing your daily calorie intake, but this assumes that you can handle rather intense exercise sessions that in my opinion are too high-impact for someone who needs to lose a lot of weight.

It is no secret that belly fat is stubborn. When you eat less, you force your body to use your body fat as fuel, which helps decrease your overall body fat percentage and belly fat. But the question is: Do you need to do something else in addition to simply eating less food? Yes, you do. The composition of your diet is also very important. Simply reducing your calorie intake is not enough, because you also need to supply your body with nutrients.

In other words, it is not only about how much you eat, it is also about what you eat. It goes without saying that fiber-rich vegetables and fruits (think berries) and lean proteins should be the core of your diet. But do not just eat any vegetables, focus on those that give you the most volume.

Why? Because while dark leafy greens are great, they are digested quickly. Broccoli, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts, for example, are not only low in calories and high in fiber, they also give you a lot of volume (they fill your stomach quickly), which helps keep appetite under control.
