Eat Protein Bars to Lose Belly Fat

Should you eat protein bars to lose belly fat? Some people seem to think that eating protein bars to lose belly fat is a great idea. Even some registered dietitians claim that protein bars can help you lose belly fat, but is it actually true that protein bars can aid you to lose belly fat? In short, the answer is no.
Do not get me wrong, I love protein bars. I eat protein bars all the time. However, not all protein bars are created equal. Most of them use low quality protein powders and contain too much sugar. Just for the sake of the argument, let’s assume the opposite – i.e., all protein bars are high in fiber and are made with quality ingredients – can eating protein bars regularly help you lose belly fat?
The answer is still no. Why not? Because, while in my opinion protein is the most important component of any diet, it does not contain any nutrients that can burn belly fat. That having been said, protein bars are great for snacking. When you buy protein bars, look closely at the nutrition facts printed on the each bar and the list of ingredients. Do not buy protein bars that contain soy protein and a lot of sugar. I also do not like protein bars that contain vitamins.
My favorite protein bar? Metabolic Drive made by Biotest Laboratories. It is not the perfect protein bar, but it is made with excellent ingredients, it tastes great, contains 20 grams of protein per bar, and it is relatively low in sugar.
