Read the Labels to Lose Belly Fat

When you are trying to lose belly fat you need to limit your calories. Many of us give the label a quick glance before we eat something to make sure it is in the right range, but all too often, we stop reading after finding out the number of calories in a serving. Unfortunately, that can lead us into trouble.
In order for the number of calories per serving to be of any use, we need to know how much makes a serving. Looking at a box of Ritz Crackers, for example, you would see that there are only 80 calories per serving. Wow, that’s great. If you pull out, say, twenty crackers and chomp away, guess how many calories that is? 320 calories. Yikes. That’s because the recommended serving size of Ritz Crackers is only five little crackers. What’s more, those five little crackers have 4.5 grams of fat.
For those same 80 calories that you would get from five little Ritz Crackers, you can have 16 baby dill pickles, which by the way have zero fat content. That’s going to be much more satisfying. So if you are looking for low calorie foods to help you lose belly fat, read the serving size and try to find foods that will provide enough substance to satisfy your hunger. This can help you resist the temptation to eat just a few more.
