These Diet Changes Could Help You Lose Belly Fat

While there are a number of things you can do to increase your chances of losing belly fat, the most important one, in my opinion, is changing your diet. Think about it, how have you ended up with an excess fat on your belly to begin with? It was not because you were rollerblading too much or eating broccoli.

Anyway you look at it, it is all about your diet, but it is not about dieting. It is about simple and easy changes to your diet that are designed to help you lose belly fat, and improve your overall health. Here they are:

High-calorie chips Instead, use fresh veggie sticks or cucumber slices for all of your low-calorie favorite dips.

Skin By removing skin off the chicken, you avoid extra fat and calories.

Dark meat Stick to white chicken and white turkey meat for fewer calories.

Fatty cuts Marbled cuts of beef, such as rib eye, are, well, fatty. Choose leaner cuts, such as flank steak, filet mignon and lean ground beef, if you are planning to make burgers or meatballs.

Soft drinks Make fresh lemonade or fresh-brewed iced tea with Splenda instead. Fresh iced tea with erythritol (a natural sugar substitute) is a healthy and refreshing alternative to sugary soft drinks.

Beer Choose a white-wine spritzer instead and cut more than half the calories. [img: via]
