Three Snacks to Help Lose Belly Fat

Nobody likes a roll of flab around their midsections, and no amount of crunches can make it go away. Only diet can help you lose belly fat, a good diet, that is – the one that makes the full use of healthy snacks.
The following three easy to grab snacks can go a long way toward helping you lose belly fat, which will make you not only healthier, but hopefully will help you fit into your skinny jeans sooner than you think.
First up is canned fish – specifically salmon and sardines. The same omega-3 fatty acids (the good fats) that help protect the heart can also help you lose fat, especially around your midsection. Try topping some whole grain crackers with salmon or whole wheat toast with sardines.
Almonds and walnuts are also excellent fat-fighters. They contain monounsaturated fatty acids, which are not only good for the body, but can also help you lose weight. Grab a handful twenty minutes before a meal and earn the added benefit of not eating as much at dinner.
Finally, eggs – specifically egg whites – is earning some much deserved props for fat-fighting prowess. High in protein and Vitamin B-12, egg whites can give you a much needed energy boost without excess calories.
Scramble two at breakfast for a protein-packed start to the day, or for a low-cal, mid-afternoon pick-me-up, roll them into a whole grain tortilla and top with salsa. Whole eggs are also great. They are more nutritious than just egg whites. However, they are higher in calories, so be careful.
